Who needs a migration service -registration of a work permit and for what purpose? If you are a foreigner and want to get a job in Tajikistan.
To work in Tajikistan, you will need to obtain an appropriate permit, the procedure for issuing which is set out in the Government Decree “Rules for issuing work permits to foreign citizens and stateless persons who work in the Republic of Tajikistan.”
A foreign citizen who has received a work permit may work only in certain specialties in the region of Tajikistan specified in the work permit.
If the authorities discover that there is no work permit, the foreign person will have to leave the territory of the republic within 5 days.
In case of non-departure, a foreign citizen is subject to expulsion from the country.
A work permit is issued for a period of up to 1 year. After this period, the permit must be extended.
Work permits are issued within the established quota, approved annually by the President of Tajikistan. Therefore, a work permit may be refused if the number of foreign workers exceeds this quota.
The authorities may also refuse to issue a permit at their discretion, for example, if they consider that there are enough domestic specialists for this vacancy.
