Foreign citizens and stateless persons are required to register in accordance with the established procedure within 3 working days from the date of entry into the Republic of Tajikistan, and at the end of their stay to leave the Republic of Tajikistan, unless otherwise provided in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan and international treaties of Tajikistan. The rules for registration of passports of foreign citizens and a sample registration form are approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Republic of Tajikistan on a visa-free basis are registered for a period not exceeding the time limits established by international treaties of Tajikistan. In the absence of such international agreements of Tajikistan, if the period of visa-free stay is not specified, registration is carried out for the period specified in the application of the foreign citizen or the application of the organization hosting the foreign citizen, but not more than 1 year.
Foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Republic of Tajikistan are required to extend their visa and registration period in accordance with the established procedure before the end of their stay.
Foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Republic of Tajikistan, who are citizens of countries that have visa-free entry and exit procedures with the Republic of Tajikistan, are required to extend the registration period in accordance with the established procedure, but not more than 1 year.
